ALEŠ HRDLIČKA: ORBITING ZERO

ALEŠ HRDLIČKA: ORBITING ZERO
View gallery

Contemporary circus, object theatre and new magic come together in a new circus interpretation of magical realism – Orbiting Zero. This solo performance blurs the boundaries between realities through elements of new magic and explores the physical (im)possibilities of plastic juggling rings.

Orbiting Zero is like an endless spiral that orbits the theme of creation. Performer and audience are absorbed into a visual universe that deconstructs the circle as a shape and juggling as an art form. Aleš invites the audience to take a look behind closed doors – into the workshop where he realizes ideas and finds connections between expectations and reality. Each invention offers a new dialogue between the artist’s intention and the intuition of the material, capturing them in an endless loop of absurd situations.
