CIRK LA PUTYKA: LA PUTYKA

Moments from an (un)ordinary Czech pub. A love story, a fight, the stumbling of regulars and a strumming band under the supervision of a quirky innkeeper. Acrobatics, dance, puppets, sports performances and live music merged into one new circus glass. Pub fantasy and altered reality, in which the laws of physics cease to apply and the guests are witnesses as well as the originators of unexpected acrobatic, musical and movement phenomena.

When Rostislav Novák put together the first movement, dance and circus workshops in 2008, a group of people gathered at them for whom the new circus was really new. They were united by enthusiasm and a desire to try other approaches. After months of preparation, the first launch came and unexpectedly received a positive response. Cirk La Putyka began to emerge on the personnel and organizational foundations of the performance.
